Hi Nevena,
Thank you for the great question. The project has to be focused on bringing a positive change in your community either through civic engagement or economic growth or a combination of both. However, the change does not have to be visible. Changes can be achieved through shifting people's opinions, level of awareness, attitudes, and behavior - all these may not be visible or tangible, but these are changes too.
BOLD small grants aims to encourage their members to work with the people in their communities and stakeholders to bring positive changes in the society as a team, and in that process instill team player values and leadership qualities in them. So, to answer your question, if your project idea involves conducting a research that can better your community in any way, BOLD would be interested to hear about it.
For more details, please go through the application form, where the fields of projects under the two categories ; civic engagement and economic development, have been further elaborated.
Please also read instructions on how to identify the problem statement, the S.M.A.R.T. objectives to get a better understanding of what is expected from the project application.
Thank you again for brining up this very useful question. Hope this answered your questions.
We wish you all the best!
